Put The Boots To Hunger
WHAT IS PUT THE BOOTS TO HUNGER?
PUT THE BOOTS TO HUNGER is a campaign partnership between Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP (BD&P) and the Calgary Inter-Faith Food Bank that will see BD&P commit $200,000 in 2010 as a continuation of their support for this legacy fundraising event.
This increase in support is due to the BD&P culture that is driven by their support for the wider community and their feeling of corporate responsability that is "always on". Wherever possible, BD&P intends to increase their commitment.
We thank all of the partners who made the 2010 Put the Boots to Hunger campaign a success, who collectively with BD&P helped us to reach our goal by raising over $516,000 in food and fund donations for the Calgary Food Bank. Highlights included 9 Chuckwagon day sponsors joining BD&P; by making significant cash donations to the Calgary Food Bank they were able to see their logo and brand on the Friends of the Calgary Food Bank Chuckwagon and cheer Barry Hodgson on during the 2010 GMC Rangeland Derby. The sponsors of Oxford Stomp and the Calgary Rotary Club choosing the Calgary Food Bank as the beneficiary of their event which raised over $100,000. The many clients and staff connected with BD&P who chose to support the event by making a financial contribution and the over 50 organizations and community groups who hosted Stampede events and encouraged their guests to pass along that legendary Western hospitality by bringing a donation for the campaign, collectively they raised nearly $100,000 in food and funds.
